Had a similar issue on the Ridgeline last winter. Caliper pistons moved nicely but one of the pads was stuck as all hellz in the bracket. I remember having to file the ears when I installed the pads-should have red flagged at that point but was all apart and couldnt do anything else but try and make it work-NAPA pads and that was the last straw with NAPA brake parts for me. Back to Ackebono all around now.

Well, TrailBlazer brake job done. I'm pretty sure the slider pins were the problem, so I cleaned them up like new, put a very thin coating of anti-seize on them, pushed the caliper piston out (as far as I dared) and back in 4-5 times, added rust buster, cleaned & installed new rotor and the caliper brackets w/ new pads, then the caliper. Also adjusted the parking brake shoe while I was in there, and lubed the mechanism for that too.

Parking brake is much tighter now, and have to run to the post office & parts store (return the un-used new caliper....get my $90 back), so I'll check out things as I go.

Sorry for no pics, but didn't want to get the phone all crudded-up with grease, dirt, and anti-seize.....LOL.

Good, I wasn't feeling well, but failed miserably at calling out sick. How do you call out sick when you are retired????
