Oh hey dere. *waves to everyone*

It's been wonderfully mild since the early september scare of an early winter.
We are ahead of the game usage wise. I think last night was only the third or fourth night at or below freezing so far.

Pretty stout early fall storms arriving by the bunches these past few days.

    Good heavy rains too.

Do hope our friends to the South (Cali) get some wet to help with the fires.

Wet and windy last night and even with only the little stove running the house was 75 F

Cleaning time today for both stoves.

Same here a little south of you in NH. No hard freezes yet and maybe 2 frosts overnight.

Downside is the ticks seem to have exploded in the past 2 weeks. Nearly none on the dog and cats all summer. Seems like the last 2 weeks I am taking some off daily.

Since October 1st I've used the A/C more than I've used heat. Haven't burned but 1/2 bag of pellets so far. Stove has only seen 3 mornings and 2 evenings of duty. We had 2 near frost nights and 1 where I had to defrost the car. But only took a few minutes. Its been the warmest October I can remember. Pretty sure we had warmer days in October than September or at least it seemed that way.

Yeah the ticks come out again in the fall. New crop of adults, the old ones tend to die out in the summer heat and dry spell.

Only ran the AC twice this year, I have put it away for the winter. Wasn't worth getting out. Only real thing I like about AC is the dehumidifier.

We didn't use our A/C much and put it away early the humidifier however just got unplugged and emptied. It usually runs from May until the pellet stove gets turned on in the fall. We run it down stairs.

That's the reason I ran my A/C was of the humidity. With the southerly storms moving all the humid/moist air north. I just couldn't take it, So we used them to rid us of that crap..

Same here. At the end of the day, you need to be able to sleep and get a nights rest.

    HAHA.........don't get too spoiled Jay.

I slept in until about 8:15, and have a brake job to do on the TrailBlazer (better now than when it's 20* out).

I think the RR caliper is hanging up, as the outside of the rotor is only getting wiped about 50% of the surface, so I'll check the slider pins, and if in bad shape, a new caliper is going on. A new rotor is a sure thing as the backside has some big grooves that cutting won't take out. Pretty sure these problems wiped out the pads, but I have a left-over set of new ones to go in. Guess I shouldn't complain after 245K miles on the original caliper. :emptywallet: Hope I have some brake clean left in the shed.......

The joys of rear brake calipers, better stopping power=higher maintenance duties:hair:
Can you tell I'm not a big fan of them considering the brake drums=next to nil maintenance:yes:

Actually, there has been very little maintenance previously except for changing pads. I'll exchange better stopping power while my family rides in the vehicle any day!
