I did not get that from the tone of his voice; by the tone of his voice to me, he seemed upset. Oh well, I am in the southland; maybe it is a regional thing.

OK Eric VW and HDRock ; I will accept your explanation. Seems strange to me but I will concur with your more extensive knowledge on the subject.

After I installed my stove; I did most of the work myself, I was afraid to build a fire in the stove. I was worried that I had done something wrong.

I have to agree. I was afraid to get a spa stove because of a few horror stories of the did not put out heat like a conventional or wouldn't burn well ECT.

Only fear I had was not having as much fun cutting up as much wood as my old stove would use

And once you have the choocher valve, you must learn the ways of the choocher valve.

    Chooch in, chooch out!

There is some strange vernacular here. I once had a man to say he did not have a "case quarter". I had no idea what he meant and had to inquire.

At least FatBoy85 has a stove now so when “It’s Monkeys Outside!” it'll be warm inside.

I'd hate to be the bearer of bad news but about 2 hours ago my daughter apparently touched the stove and she received 2nd degree burns to her right palm.
Just got back from the urgent care. I couldn't count how many time I was telling her about the stove and it being hot. It only takes a second. I'll be sleeping out in the den tonight...

Really sorry to hear that, hope she's OK! You can comfort her by saying "She broke it in, she was the first, Yay!!!" - 'cause it's gonna get you all at one time or another.

I'm sorry to hear that too, I climbed up on the stool, slipped and stuck my hand in a Boiling Pot of tomatoes, took a long time to heal up, but I never came close to doing it again, for sure

I guess it just goes to show you that even with fair warning, something is bound to happen. Anyways despite this, hoping to move on and learn. Im just sorry it wasn't me. Thanks for the comments, the hurdle is over.
