It was, but it was a little drier than I'd have hoped, but that was due to my beer goggles on and not pulling the bird at 165 and it reached about 173 or so... But the inside of the breast was awesome and skin too. I'll be doing a few more, it was by far the easiest bird I've done.

The digital remote thermometer fixes that - it has an alarm so extra beers will not impair the cooking process

Yes, precooked... It came out quite a bit crisper than the turkey. Gonna have to try it again, actually forgot about the cooker till the other day.

Your gonna have to give us the scoop on the smoker/fried boston butt... Ought to be interesting....

You're going to love it! The guy at Loews told me I could bring it back if I liked it I said even after it's been used and he said there's no concern about you not liking it!

Question for you that have the big easy. I received mine and put it together last weekend. Just wondering what this piece is and where does it go or what does it do?

This thread is like 3 years old and still rave reviews on this thing. I NEED one!

Anyone having dry bird syndrome, needs to brine their bird.

I can't quite figure out that piece. Unless it goes under the igniter area... Maybe a better picture might help?

    Sorry....
