New here but have been a member for awhile on AS and Hearth. Awesome to be around junkies like myself. I'm sure the rest of you are as tired as I am with this weather . I have odd days off but every day it's either to cold or snowing. I just added a 576xpat to the arsenal and haven't even been able to use. Tred twice to get the truck back in the woods only to get stuck twice. This crap needs to let up. I wish for a good melt and then freeze the ground again. I have 18 truckloads of rounds waiting to be split too. Only problem is they are covered in snow and frozen together !!!!! My 455 deere doesn't like getting in the deep crunchy stuff either so I try not to tear up the yard when pulling the splitter. End rant

Welcome to the forum tjcole50. All the junkies are happy to have you too. Sad when you get a new tool and can't use it because of weather. Getting stuck is no fun either. And what's with the 189 truck loads of rounds that still need split? We normally cut in winter when we can and sort of stack up the rounds until after snow melt. I think mid April is about as long as I've ever waited to start the splitting. Even then the sledge comes in handy to break some rounds out of the ice. I had to shove some white stuff around today then when it stopped I went out to plow and it started freezing drizzle. My defroster don't work well on the atv windshield so it was a bit tricky doing some of the plowing. But spring is coming! We just aren't sure when.
I'm new here myself, if you're like me you will find this place much more friendly and less dramatic than some other forums.
