Wifes car was squealing and I was told by the auto parts store it was a muffler bearing :smoke: . I thought, ya right, this pimply faced little kid must of thought I was born last night :loco: . Well he sends me over to Browns Transmission because it is a specialized part and they are the only one that stocks them in town. So off I go :vulture:and low and behold he has them in stock :makeitrain"and even the right size ..........

No wonder it has a leaky exhaust.

    A Yugo.

The lack of good muffler bearing suppliers is what killed the Yugo.

Leave it to GM to make something as stupid as a muffler bearing. Next they'll be selling AC Delco blinker fluids.

Just so everyone knows, this is a joke. I went to the local transmission shop to have the wife car checked out and when I went in he had it laying on the counter. I picked it up and said hey this is a muffler bearing and he said I was one of the very few who "got it" so I thought I would pass it on.

I googled "whistles go woo!". Naturally. ;)

I saw it years ago. Maybe on tosh.o, or on a motorcycle forum? It still has me laughing my butt off.

    ;)

    But...
That vue was the worst. My cousin bought one new in 04 iirc. They talked all about the best of both worlds, Honda motor in a gm US made wagon/Ute AWD rustproof plastic body etc. That pos hasn't moved more than a few feet in the last 5 years. . She's probably still making payments on it. Lol.

And here I am trying to figure out how in the Sam Hill that is going to do anything! The bearing are orientated the wrong way and there's no way to install it w/o cutting the exhaust. I was expecting it to be like a ford where you have to pull the cab to work on the engine and transmission. A solution in search for a problem.
