I have a few threads where the title no longer describes what the thread is about. For Instance, I have a thread on P68 but ended up buying a Drolet. Should I start a new thread to more advice for the Drolet?, or continue on the old P68 thread. Wondering about message boards ettiquette or better word might be protocal. thanks
Adam, the original thread has very little to do with a Harman P-68 and is ALL Drolet Eco-65 (both are Pellet stoves). So someone that is searching for info on a Harman P-68, will be very disappointed to come across that thread. I will edit the title of the old thread, but that was when you were wanting to buy a pellet stove. Now that you have a stove, I would start a new thread for questions and a review after you get some run time under your belt.
I apologize Grizzly, that was my for instance example. I did purchase and am using and ECO-65, but I just started a thread on the new insert we need as well.... I used that example as I thought it would be more familiar since so many kind members contributed...... ps, ECO-65 performing great!
It is one of the meanest pellet stoves out there. The Eco 65 is just a cheaper version of the Enerzone Euromax. They are phenomenal pellet stoves. I was gonna edit her thread on the Harman a while ago. As it's a Drolet thread. But going into it, she wanted a Harman. We saved her money and got her a better stove that can be ducted to a couple other rooms (it's kinda like a pellet furnace) About 40% of the air comes out of the front of the stove, and the other 60% is split into to ducts (30% to each). If I didn't have the pellet furnace I have, the Enerzone Euromax or Drolet Eco -65 would be my stove of choice. Pic to show how the duct kit works. (Stock photo)
We all might learn a few tricks here. If the new thread's very first word is the key word, it will get more hits from searches both within and external to this forum. I.e. What is the best pellet brands V.s. Pellet brand, what are the best? So encourage new threads to start with key words, "Harman p68", " Eco 65" etc.
