We decided it was time for a tractor so we purchased a Mahindra 4540 4WD with the bucket and the backhoe.

My first job after getting use to it will be to spread some gravel on the driveway and my wife said she will be getting her cabin built next year.

I wasn't sure on the tires but after talking with a few people, we stayed with the Ags.

We did like the 2540 but the 4540 is built much better in my opinion.

I can see less time on the trails now that this beauty is on the property.

Zap, I forgot to ask but can you get that in the garage?

This is just one more reason why we have to get back out for a visit!

congratulations! they are useful! that's about the right size too (my opinion) for wood field and trail work.. I personally went with r4 tires for field brush hogging.. but if you r careful it won't rip it up too bad!

Gear. I've never owned or operated a tractor like this so it will be a learning experience.

I'm not sure but we always wanted a new shed that we can put our stuff in, does anyone want to give me some backhoe lessons.

The first job will be to get some gravel (what size, 2?) for our driveway. Once it goes back for a 50 hour checkup they'll put the hoe on. They didn't have one in stock so they ordered on.

I want the spot in the garage for my wife's car in the winter.

Thanks eatonpcat ,Well Seasoned ,rottiman , Thor , My IS heats my home , Stinny , Backwoods Savage mike bayerl , MasterMech , HDRock and Canadian border VT .

We thought we'd get it in another 1.5 years when we lose another payment but we decided it was time.

Backwoods Savage, I wonder if old Gasifier would come over to give me lessons but I wOOd want to pay him with a truck load of our best punky pine.:D

If we ever have to pull any big trees out of the brook, this will make it easier.

I talked with the business we're buying it from today, he said if we want to change the tires to the ones in the picture, he'll do it.

I always wanted to widen some trails but the amount of shovel work was a bit much for me, this will make that job easier. The removal of stumps will also be easier.
