That's not good. TSC hardwoods were $250 a ton.

If I had known they give tours, I would have scheduled our trip to Orono to visit the University a little different. I am sure my family would have loved to tour a pellet mill! Probably would have left me at the local looney bin!

Went to visit the MWP mill earlier this week. It was a great visit and Scot was a fantastic host, showed us all around the mill and power plant. Very educational. It is hard to believe everything that goes into producing the fuel we burn every winter, you have to see it to believe. Scot Linkletter thanks again for the tour, really appreciate you taking the time for it.

Regarding the Lowes new pellet. It doesn't have an official name per-se. They refer to it as the sunset bag because that's what the image on the bag looks like, dark at the bottom and orange at the top. I don't have any pics; they were all under wraps on pallets, but the bag is fairly generic - it says Premium wood pellets made in Maine (or something close to that).

Similar to the ones sold at Wally World...very generic and says made in Maine although different graphics.

The pellets in the generic bags that Wally World and others sold did have a small MWP logo in the middle of the bags.

The bag shown here didn't say MWP but others did. The Made in Maine with the outline of the state is part of the MWP logo.

I prefer not to remember those pellets. Since then, MWP has turned a new leaf. Different as night and day. I would burn MWP without hesitation, all the burning season. My P68 burns them just fine. Heat is good and the price is as good as they get around these parts.
