I can't find any info on these. They seem to be very new to the market. I liked the hardwood version, so I'd be interested to know more before pulling the trigger.

Don't believe anyone here has tried them yet. PD only started advertising them in the past couple weeks, and they are the only place I've seen them. The logik-e website doesn't even mention them. Was thinking of popping in to grab a few bags to try. If you do get some, let us know how they are. I will do the same.

I'm impressed with the Hardwood Logik-ê, best pellet I tried yet north of the border. No Douglas Fir on the eastern part of the Canada so I haven't tried those yet to compare.

oh, the firs will spoil you.......kinda a Pandora's box, so to speak. You try them, they are great, then you go back to something you thought was good.....and find out you've been living a lie all these years......

I'm still trying to figure out how to pronounce Logik-e...."Logic- E"? "Low gick e"? "Lowchow"? "Logreenteam"?

yea, actually an idea to differentiate pellets with less then .5% ash from the higher ash ones, premium, which are less than 1% ash. It never happened though.....

Was on PFI's list for a short period(maybe a season or so). Got an old list somewhere. I'll post when I find it.

Never got a straight answer of why they removed it, But was hinted that mills took advantage of the standard to fetch more $$ for a slightly better product....... Don't think removing it made pellets any cheaper? Good pellets still fetch more than crap pellets IMHO. Just the way it is. Also didn't change chit pellets from fetching nearly as much as good chit neither!! :loco:

PFI will never decrease prices. The costs associated with PFI only increase prices.

yup......a test every 1000 tons, inspections......all adds to the cost. I wonder if folks actually look for the PFI logo either? I doubt it.
