Hi all I am a newbie here. Have cut and burnt wood since I was young. Burn in a Kozy Heat 231ZC Sell a bit. Have 2 home built CSM's 36"-50". Lots of Stihl Saws Split-Fire 3265 log splitter.
Pull up a log by the fire and sit a spell, lot of great folks hangin' 'round these parts.....few ornery ones too.
Yes we do she runs the splitter a lot and hauls loads out of the woods. Pic of some of the super stringy Elm from today.
It was a real pain! I thought it would split good this morning as it was 2° when I got up to do the chores. By the time we started splitting maybe 8° or so but the 3265 would only split them on the in stroke. 16"-18"+ rounds
Hello there DDobbs glad you made it! Nice work today, my wife runs the splitter to (hydro) and I love working with her Hope to see you post some more pics
Welcome DDobbs! Nice to have you! I see you got ya some elm, kind looks like my black gum we have here on the Jersey Shore! Have fun with that!!!
Thanks for all the Welcome's I found the site by site doing a search on log splitters. Kind of thinking of a upgrade before long. Even more thinking about it after that Elm tree...... LOL Dave
Upgrade? I've rented one of those units for the weekend once and it was built like a tank. Heavy gauge steel on everything. And the two way splitting really sped things up. Can I ask what you're looking to upgrade too?
