That's what I was thinking.. But every dealer is different. Cash is king when buying a saw. Should be at least 10% off with cash. If not more.
$200 is a great price? How did it get put back on the shelf? Did it say it was used? Or was it part of the rental category?
I don't think they are sale prices at all , just a gimmick to make the average joe think he's getting a deal
It's labeled as a recon saw discounted to $200. My cs310 and cs352 where the same kind of finds. All it means is somebody purchased the saw cut a tree down and returned it. In this particular case they threw the chain off and dinged it a little.
There are never any Echos like that at my HD. Last time I was in, they had an out of box Homelite for $95 hiding on the bottom shelf.
You can see where they threw the chain a few times I'm guessing overall it's in great shape and runs awesome! It got a new bar and chain to be considered a recon saw. Third recon find in the last couple years!! I always eyeball the saw isle when we go to Homedepot I do believe my wife considers me insane!

There was a brand new looking Echo 490 in a pawn shop around the corner from my office. It was marked $299 but the manager has given me deals on saws in the past. If anyone is interested I can see what sort of price I can get.
