Yeah me as well. I have an unheated but insulated attached garage so if I over do things a bit Ill open the two doors from the garage into the house. I also dont mind having a window to the outside open from time to time especially when its above -10c so the house can get some fresh air. Darn I cant wait. I only wish I could be in the bush cutting right now but there is a ban on off road travel and chainsaws considering the worst forest fire season on record here. If we have to drive on designated bush roads we cant deviate or drive atvs, motor bikes or farwood gettin.

Looking back in my phone pics, I have a kindling fire going September 20th. I'm assuming the fact I took a photo of such a dinky fire, means it was the first one of last fall.

I looked on FHC to see my first burn of last year and it was September 3rd when the air temps were 7c. It may not happen here that early because of the forest fire danger. Bring the rain!!

I usually light my first fire in late October, we like the cool temps after all this heat. We dress appropriate for the temps, that kind of weather is when I get some chores done. I've 2 cord to still c/s/s for 3 years down the road. Once I start burning it's almost 6 months of doing so, as of this moment, it's almost 70% humidity here. A fire is the last thing on my mind. Soon enough.................:fire:

Usually Halloween. I get it going so the wife can stay warm with the opening and closing of the door. I go out with my girls to keep the peace.
