Cleaned the stove yesterday and when I was putting the auger back in place, it wouldn't lock into place like it usually does. Removed the side panel and saw the auger drive chain had come off (didn't pull the stove out to check out any further). Any thoughts on what could have broken or why it may have come off??

    Thanks

Screws that hold the drive motor loosened up on me a few years back. You'd need to take the side panel off to see if its all the way forward??

    Keep us posted!

It appears the sprockets aren't in line and the chain is walking off the drive sprocket! Any other M55 owners ever have this issue??
The motor seems fine as it turns when it is suppose to.

That would be "Harmen"....Enviro's seem to need one new part a year!!

But thanks Smoke...You have proven once again to be no help whatsoever!!

Probably have to ask the question on another site to actually get an answer!!

Easy there big fella, Pay no attention to smoke! I'll do my best to help. Pic's? Pic say what I might need to hear(see)...........

Has the sprocket(motor side) slide off the motor shaft? Loosen the set screws and tap sprocket back on if it has slide off the the motor shaft. Pretty sure the set up is the same in my heap. I'll look to see if the agitator sprocket can work out of the housing. Should be able to use a straight edge to see which has moved out of alignment.

Other site? Sure, But I bet you get just as much help here!! :p

Thanks JT...will get a picture tonight. Going to take the motor out and see what is happening. Set screw seemed to be ok, but I didn't check closely to see if it was tight although the sprocket seemed tight also.

This collar could have slipped as well? It also has a setscrew that might have loosened.
