I am having problems with my email so I wanted to opt out of the alerts and I did but I am still getting them.
I don't think that it stops threads you already had emails/ were engaged in. I believe it's just from this point on. Because several that opted out early on had these issues. Pallet Pete was one that had some problems.
Correct, but he need to go to the notifications tab (on the left side) to change his preferences for threads.
I honestly don't remember what I did to stop them but yes I had a lot of problems with the email system. If I recall correctly it stopped when we upgraded servers...
Pete-- IFIRC you simple changed your preferences to no longer auto-slubscribe and then the thread you were already slubscribed to eventually quieted down.
The two that are unchecked are the ones I opted out from, that's how you opt-out you uncheck those okay so that is probably it, they will probably stop coming after a while. I am just having problems with Outlook 2010, that's the reason I decided to restore my computer completely. Been having problems with office for a long time, we're good now though I'm getting it all straightened out now so, it's not a big deal. I even managed to get Outlook 2010 email set up without getting any double mails this time
OK, now you can unsubscribe from any threads and then resubscribe without emails by clicking the Unwatch Thread option at the top of each thread. Kind of a pain, but it's good for really long running threads.
Yeah, okay, I was just getting residual alerts I guess it's not that big a deal though, I don't need to go and do all that.
