Have invaded my crawl space. Well, one has that I'm aware of, but like mice and ants, where there's one there's more. We all know they're game, so I put this where I can get some gooder advice. I need ideas to thin the herd. Using my wife's BB gun ain't cuttin' it, and I feel kinda weird toting it around.......it's pink. Can't hit the side of the pole barn with it. I'm thinkin' pellet rifle or pistola. Maybe some rat traps. Are mouse traps too small? Not gonna' do poison.
Pellet gun works for me and ammonia seems to make them move on too. I've used the bucket trap before with very good results. chipmunk bucket trap - Yahoo Search Results
My honey said her Dad used to put gobs of peanut butter on a rat trap out at their camp years ago. Got a few.
Wait....... safety off, finger on trigger and trigger PULLED, then rack one. Uh huh, yep. Got it. Bet that ceiling needs a little work.
I did some sniffing around, that video is fake. It was a blank shell and sound effects and a flash effect was added. Here's his youtube channel: AirsoftWarfareHD and here's him admitting it was fake. It's the second question in his Q & A video:
So, I have this little 9mm bolt action single shot shotgun that I found in the attic a few years ago. Supposed to be good up up to around 15-20 yards. A friend found a place that sells shells for it, so I ordered some today. Shipping was almost as much as the shells, so I ordered 2 boxes, which only added a few more pennies. These little guns were made specifically for yard varmints, from what little info I can gather. I'll report my findings. Pics are washed out.
so get a tall kitchen trash can. Then do the water bucket mouse trap thing. That is a thin rod, like the bottom of a metal coat hanger, going trough opposite holes at the top with a can in the middle, coat hanger rod going through the ends of a can. Peanut butter smeared on the can. put about 8 inches on water in the trash can. Then lay some stick or branch up against the trash can. Then chippy climbs up the branch and attempt to walk the coat hanger over to the can with the peanut butter. but the can on the coat hanger freely spins and chippy falls into the water. The walls of the can are too high to climb or jump out of. Chippy has met his Waterloo. Cheap, no poison.
