Hello all, I migrated over from another site just a few days ago. I'm Jarod, from NW Missouri. In your opinion, using the proper mill, what models of Stihl, Husqvarna, or Jonsered (I'm only mentioning these because parts seem to be available) would you recommend as a minimum? Also, I'm budget shopping for a larger saw possibly with problems I could fix (nothing is off the table there). I just would like to hear what models you guys like to use, out of saws that I can get parts for. I did have an 044 an 2 ms660s, but I had to give them up for sale due to a hospital bill.

Welcome to the forum. Have you considered one of the DIY chinese MS660s?

I bought a 660 years back for some of our bigger trees that were down and then when we bought the Alaskan Chainsaw Mill the 660 was the saw I used, works great but is a slow process.
