Called a customer back about LG's that he inquired about some time ago.
Henry asked if he was still interested..
The guy said he already got them from XXX.com because they had a free delivery special.

    They were $299.90/T. free delivery.

    We can't touch that.
We get $269/T and $40 delivery.

Guess it depends on how many tons he bought.

You're still competitive. Offer yours at $309/T with Free Delivery. People like free and are willing to bite if they think they are getting a deal ;)

After reading what I wrote earlier... I have to clarify something.
"I" knew what I wanted to say... I just didn't...
    It happens a lot... :BrianK:

    It should have been:

He bought 3 tons. so $899.70
    We can't touch that.
We get $269/T and $40 delivery.
    So ours would be $807 + $40 = $847

So offering yours at $289/T with Free Delivery for multiple tons would be a good deal for you and the consumer ;)

To me it sounds like people are generally not very smart.

Ahh, when you add the amount it makes more sense to me. Math wasn't your customer's strong suite in school apparently.

Customer was likely thinking 40 delivery per ton ( which around here is how they like to price it), not 40 delivery for the whole shebang.

Except he knew the drill... previous customer...
Plus... I don't know of anyone that would charge 40 bucks a ton...
That would be $160 for four tons.... Even XXX.com doesn't do that...

Out here they do charge that, no delivery, best I have found is a handyman that will bring them out and stack them for $40 PER SKID. Yes, per skid.

Yep, OUCH! Our "early buy" is Aug 1 - Sept 1, so $260/$285. Stupid tiny flipping town with high real estate and no stores. Harrrumph.

    Not exactly the same thing...
Your pellet guy isn't the one doing the delivery...
And that 40 dollar guy is stacking it for you...
