Mr. & Mrs. Eric VW were kind enough to put Mrs.Muffinhead and I up for the night, we were on a road trip in his neck of the woods and we are in good hands with our gracious hosts. Got a free tour of the stacks, an awesome dinner, and burned some wood in the rectangle firepit Mrs. VW. put together, beers and good conversation.... Thanks dude.

Not many pics but here ya go.

With a Super Hack fire starter, from the PA pyro....Here he is testing Moisture Content (we might need more pipe on this firepit for better draught. It was proper F's yesterday evening for establishing good draught )
bobdog2o02 turned the rain soaked firepit from this: (The SHFS's were tasty)

What's going on here? :binoculars: I let Eric VW know I was heading to his neck of the woods and he told me he moved to Canada! :faint:

    Seriously though, that's great!

Lol, no it wasn't like that, lots of smaller splits made for a raging fire. Mr. VW has a plan.

Good point on the yankee roots.
Might hafta take ya up on that offer sometime, whenever I head south, I always stop at the Wythville Flying J on my way through VA to get some of that "cheap" gas. Usually the cheapest gas between OH and FLA. Used to be in GA, but they added a state tax to the price of gas some years back so they are about the same as everybody else now.

Yeah, my wife has family in WV, we found out Fri. nite that some of them were in the "ground zero" area...like water up to the eaves of the house! (and it turns out, no flood ins!) We are planning on sending some supplies down here soon. Sounds like some of them are staying at their old homestead 45 minutes or so away, which is really just a rickety ole house up on a mountain ridge.
I'm sure there are FHC members in WV...
