Sounds like it. But then you read the part about if it was a huge problem it would be all over AS. But then you have shop guys saying there bins of them:rolleyes:

look at your serial number if lower than 2013 week 39 you may be in trouble, I know yours was just rebuilt but don't know if MM replaced your C/P, it is also not clear if replacement OEM C/P kits have the problem with the piston or how to tell if new C/P kit you have ordered will fail. I am where you are, I have a new 2013 week 34 saw in the shop that has never been started, now afraid to start or sell it.

Just because it isnt in print doesn't mean it isnt being kept under wraps by the company. JMO just like pulling the 661 back off the market.

I agree, we can only find out what they want us to know! Guess everyone should just keep running and report IF they experience the problem. I routinely plug the decomp on my personal saws anyway. Can't stand the ooze running down the side of the jug!

Probably just a rumor started by Stihl, LOL Clemsonfor!

My last double post on subject. Getting tired running back and forth.

If husky is dissecting saws to figure out what is going on with ones sent back. I doubt anything has been out on SB's etc. JMO I dont care one way or another.

But understand why dealers and husky wouldnt want stuff getting out. It would hurt bottom line sales.

Was your busted crank from a tree? Magnus says they are seeing busted cranks in the 560xp over their way. Last post in the 562 thread right new.

Mag =I know of a LOT of cooked 560's, don't get the 562 here.

There is a bunch of corrections and changes in 560, but it still won't do.

I think the engine type is the cause. They run lean with symptoms of airleak.
Heat development that cause a bunch of things.
Cooked top ends, broken cranks, cases etc
