To make it worse I'm trying to do it without a blind, so I run and gun as well. Blinds make me feel weird. I'm planning on head shots so there's not as much room for wounding. Of course, if I can't get a shot I won't be wounding anything. Another morning of crazy gobbling just off the property I hunt...

I dont like blinds either, The two I shot with a bow I didnt use a blind. Im with you that I would much rather run and gun.

Great bird! Great great picture! I'm stuck in Philly for work all day. No Sunday hunting in PA, so this weekend is out for me. Please keep the picts and stories coming so I can live vicariously

Glad you all got some birds this year. Between work and weather, I never did make it out this year. Oh well, that's just reality.

Great looking bird and a very beautiful wife. I love the time I get to spend hunting with my wife. Even if she killed bigger bucks then me the last two years:emb:

Use to be able to killll. 5 here. They lowered that to 3 a few years ago. Turkey has been declining here for no reason.

That said I don't have anywhere decent with birds to go. My place doesn't hold them in spring. But I still try to shoot a turkey in the face most every spring. Use to try hard about 4 years ago. Not as much anymore . Been a decade since I killed one at least. Been close several times since but bird didnt cooperate or I missed.
