I'm still working on building my shop but have no other place to store my lumber, so I have about 5,000 board feet dead stacked in the middle of the floor. I have to work around it to finish the building construction. Another 3,000 board feet in my shed, and a couple more thousand BF still stacked and stickered in piles in the yard. I feel your pain of having to sort through it all, but also appreciate the feeling of having what you need without having to go buy it. I am also a huge fan of Shaker furniture, and most of my stash of cherry is earmarked for a dining room suite (china hutch, sideboard, and trestle-style expandable table - wife wants to seat 12!).
Beautiful work Mike!!! There's just something about making something from your own trees isn't there? Being able to select the grain you want because you know where it came from in the log.. Yeah! Just awesome brother.
