Found this beauty on Craigslist this morning. Never a match put to her. She'll clean up nice and sit next to the couch as an end table. Not bad for 250. Now the holy grail for me would be to find the twin in opposite door opening. Time to rebuild my collection, slowly but surely. This a first time for picture, I hope this works alright.

Coaly is one of the Fisher Guru's in the World. I have several but not the vast knowledge he has! Welcome aboard and we'll be watching this progress:binoculars: Take your time with her.

No welcome needed, I've been around a while. I just don't usually say much, but this one I had to share.

I used to have a complete set of stoves, except the elusive XL that I'm still hunting for. Papa, Mama & baby all smooth door, solid cap drafts, three piece top and port side vent. Along wth a couple nice representations of the grand parents. It'll take years to get that back if I can get them all collected again in my lifetime, just need to re-eval my particulars. This gave me new zeal to keep on the hunt and to finish a refurb that's in the works already.

I have talked to Coaly a little bit in the past about these beasts. After a bit more time I have something very special that can come out of hiding. An old original stove, steel plate door. Coaly should or would know this name, I acquired it from one of the Petersons up the creek when we lived out there and across the road from Bob himself, early to mid 90's.

Our old Fisher has been stored at our cabin, all wrapped up in tarps outside, for 10 years now. I'm sure it'll need some TLC if it's ever used again. That stove drove some serious heat in our large living room area at the old farm for many years.

Must be unusual to find an old Fisher that's never been used spotted owl ... wow.

The "very early" Fishers had Springfield, Oregon on them instead of trees and such. It also said Fisher-Stove. Go look at his first picture ^
