From what I gathered in the thread I started about the 461, a 460 DP muffler will bolt on to a 461...correct? Or is the DP muffler cover itself bolt on only, with the 460 muffler exhaust port on the muffler can being a bit different in size?

I should have clarified, the muffler half that bolts to the cylinder are not the same. The covers are interchangeable though.

    Yea the Packers....ugh hah

Looks like a Raisman branded 460 DP cover goes for about $9-$10...this seem legit?
Ok, thats what i gathered from the old thread.

They are ok. I have a Hyway branded one and another no name aftermarket DP cover. The spot welds on both failed. The sheet metal guarding around the outside of the muffler half may eventually fall off. It doesn't affect anything in my opinion.

One fit the oem muffler great, the other no so great haha. For less than 20 dollars it's hard to go wrong.

Should be fine. The Stihl cover is probably the most durable one but the price is probably up there.

I got a HyWay cover from what's that ebay guy??? Something supply .....HLS thats it.

For my 660/650 works fine its a cover with a hole in it. Pretty darn simple.

Dont over think it. The $14 or whatever I have in it it was better than the $30-50 stihl one.

Picked up a 461 this morning at the dealer and headed out to the woods. I managed to put about 1 tank through her cutting cookies of various sizes...dang what a great saw...for me it's pretty awesome when you can hear the air being sucked into the carb when you hit the throttle...this is no 50cc engine here:D

Granted, Stihls are pricey but they are well built and will last a long time if taken care of. Enjoy that Sob :D

I thought they were made in like Tennessee? Or are the pro saws made over there and all we make are the wimpy and boat anchor saws over here like the 170 and 290?
