The only thing I've found that doesn't feed correctly is a couple old boxes of remington subsonic. They get caught up in the magazine.

Keep the velocity above 1200fps, (and cci standard velocity at 1070fps works also) and you won't have issues on the 10/22. If you do, its time to clean it.

Sub-sonics are 700fps give or take, and don't even push the bolt back far enough to pick up the next round. Save those for the bolt action as they will never work in a semi without some serious re-spring and tuning action.

BTW, I'd clean it anyway since its new if you haven't already. Step 1 in new firearm acquisition is strip it and clean it IMO.

Stripped and cleaned before the first shot. These would clog in the magazine when it wasn't in the gun. I don't remember where I even got them.

The 700fps stuff is the CCI Quiet ammo. It wont cycle anything I own. Most of the standard "subsonic" is usually around 1050. Many of the target loads are subs. Ultimate accuracy is somewhere in the 10xx fps range. Also, semi autos become much more reliable with a can out front...more backpressure and all. Great excuse to justify a suppressor purchase! :emptywallet:

Quick heads up- SIL picked up a few boxes of 22lr for my B-day, shot some yesterday.
It's a German brand- Nammo Schonebeck GmbH- skmunition.com. Rifle Match- .22 long rifle, red/ black box.
    Avoid this stuff !
Never had so many FTF, FTE in my life.
I kept one box for her so she can shoot it and know what to avoid. She didn't know , not her fault.
    Strictly bolt gun, revolver fodder.

Cabelas has 500 packs of Thunderbolts and 525 packs of Golden Bullets right now. The site wouldn't let me order both at once, but it did let me complete 2 separate orders (hopefully it goes through).

You can pair remington with minimags to get to 1000 rounds on a single order.

It keeps telling me that I have one in the cart and I dont? I wonder if that has to do with a unique link you sent?

I had the same issue, I ended up typing Gander Mtn's address in and finding the ammo from the home page.

I wonder if all of the .22 ammo showing up online is a sign that the shortage is starting to be over?

Or is this just the calm before the 2016 election makes the perfect ammo shortage storm again?

I did what you did and still had trouble. I even deleted them out of my browsing history. Typed it into Google and went back in that way and had the same issue still?

I would say things are cooling off right now. And I bet this summer it will start picking up again before the election and if a certain person is elected whose name rhymes with wildabeast is elected were in for another several hard years of ammo procurement and possibly firearms.

Sorry, wasn't sure if you were responding to my post. I did not use the link, was just passing it along. That stuff can sometimes be a little glitchy. I remember the website actually crashing a couple times last year due to intense traffic. Sorry for the link fail. It was up on another forum this morning and while the price wasn't too good, I thought I'd share in case anyone needed a good reason to clean their gun as these are pretty dirty.

Yea I didn't even do the price per round out. They are reliable but dirty.

Just cheacked. It's 5.9 cents each. That's pretty good.

Every time I put something from Midway in my cart, by the time I see the shipping charges I always change my mind!
