I am afraid that the big O has again become the top salesman for the ammo and arms mfgs of 2016.

It was some years back I had 17 or 21 bricks of 22 rimfire ammo, and would buy more every now and then. Fast forward in time, the stocks well depleted, and went to buy some....almost died of sticker shock!

    22lr ammo rimfire

Same ammo for ~$21 a box (its listed wrong at $19.49)
Shipping costs vary wildly but I recently found Federal .22 on this site for $.08 a shot delivered. You have to check it often to get the good deals, they don't last.

30$ for automatch is robbery. It's usually 21$ish.
Cabelas and the higher priced non gougers sell it for 25$.

Again, I'll refer you to Targetsportsusa.com. they usually have automatch or aguilla fpr 8 cents per round.
Currently in stock, limit 5 boxes.

Btw, a tip. If cabelas has it online, use the ship to store for free. There is a limit per transaction, but no limit on transactions themselves. So yea....you can order 10k rounds in 20 orders, and make 1 trip to Nobletucky and be done for a loooong time. I'm a half mile away from there. let me know if you do it, and I'll buy you a beer or 2 when in town.

Unfortunately, $.08 per is the new norm. Occasionally you'll get it for 7 or 6 cents, but it's usually super crap ammo ie:thunderbolts.

For that matter, there's a shop in Carmel, called point blank, that has them for $30 per 500, no limit. If you want 6 cent ammo, and 1 stop shop, it's out there. That's plus tax obviously.

Living in the city has a couple advantages. Ammo is my favorite reason :)

Carmel is about $20 in fuel and 3.5 hours of my time. I can pay a little extra on the interwebs and still be ahead. Ned time I'm in the area I'll check it out though.

I must have read it wrong or the price chanel because I would have swore it was 19.xx instead of 29.xx. That was before any beer too.

Price changes happen quick. I ordered 5k from Ammofast.com recently, $.08 rnd, then another 5K for the same cost. Now it's $.083 and rising.
I'd go to Natchez and place multiple orders if you can. $.06/ rnd is pretty good right now.
Or- buy more beer, point the empty firearm in a safe direction, and go- "Pew...pew...pew.." !

I've had an order in at sportsmansguide.com since this time last year for the federal automatch for under $17.00. Just got a new back order date of February. I've seen it locally for twice that. I refuse to pad a gougers pocket. Buy the way, that gouging store went under 3 months ago.

Wow. I've been out of the 22 market a long time. Hit a sale at Walmart. I think 8.99 a carton. 550 rounds. I bought a lot. Still coasting. Since 1994.
