Think i am set for the winter, but could be enticed by 30 more bags of north country at the end of october if room permits :vulture::vulture::vulture:

Beautiful stash. Here is mine (no pic of the 48 bags under a tarp in the yard though)

    Morning to All,
Little cramped for space that I have to stack bags in the basement, but used a suggestion from a blog site.
Guy showed a pattern of being able to stack his 3 tons in a small garage. I was able to stack my 3 ton delivery in an area 6.5 feet x 4 feet.
Used 2x3's and masonite sheets to make a raised platform for the stacking. Alternating flats of 10 bags, then 9 bags. tapped them down to
flatten the bags except those at the facing edge where we formed the the bags to have a slight lip.
Just need a small step ladder to pull down the upper bags that are against the wall as we start using them. 9-18-17 3 ton pellet delivery.jpg
Current stock for the up coming season, is at 166 bags and I should be able to fit in another 1/2 ton running two more rows on the main stack and
starting another stack of 8, next to the Oakie DF seen sitting on the fir strips on the floor in front of main stack

Well, when you see what is under there, I'm sure you'll decide you've wasted your trip. Pretty sure they are Maine's Choice (which, I can attest that the name is overly optimistic). However, since I need constant heat, not huge heat, they work for me (especially at $100/ton when I bought them)

Hope they are not as old as the $100 price would suggest.
$100/ton, who woulda thought, but then again, when I was first started buying cord wood (more than a decade ago) before getting the Wiesway pellet stove Apr. 2017, first year with wood at $125/150 /cord delivered.
Guess I'm dating myself now. :)

There was a fire sale 2-3 years ago. Lowes sold off pellets at $99/ton.

I got a lot of tonnage during the fire sales in the spring of 2016. Last winter I had 6 tons sitting out under the tarp. When I brought in 5 tons this summer, they were all nice and dry. I moved those 48 bags to a different location at the same time, so know they were still good as of July.

I was wondering what you thought of them. That's my opinion as well.

My stoves burn them just as well as anything else. Not the best pellet, but for the price won't bitch . I wouldn't pay the going price for FSU's for the MC though!

Edit: just noticed the word "rant" in there. I can definitively say I didn't type that word . Sure enough upon editing the post, it still shows "b*tch", but the script obviously has been told to display that word as "rant"
