    Hey Dvscott , welcome aboard.
I can't offer anything re: inside kindling, as my dogs turn it into mulch if I have it next to the stove. Mulch in the house is bad.
I bring it in as needed, which isn't often, as I don't use much.

    Welcome

    Not to worry
Start a fire in Oct, don't let it go out until March
    No kindling needed :D

I burn birch, so no kindling needed.

    PS:
    Nice Install

Nice to meet you. For inside, we went through way more wood than kindling, I learned to sweep often with the wood coming in.

I split my kindling as needed last year. When I was letting the fire go out at night, I would get up in the mornings, put on the covfefe, then outside to split kindling, bring it in and start the fire and then sit back and enjoy my hot cup of joe in front of the nice fire.

Likely to show you when the stove is done and everything is on the hearth. I'm just in the middle of everything so laying out the lumber and decor will come soon. Hopefully I'll remember to find this thread again.

Welcome, we use a rubbermade tote as well. But it's not nice to look at. In your setting a nice iron rack or something like that would look nice

We load the garage with firewood and a small bit of kindling next to the wood. The stove is about 20 ft in the door.

There is a small box next to the stove. Enough for me to stoke the fire before I leave.
