Heres my 1911. I run this gun in USPSA single stack . Its a commander length Ruger SR1911 that isn't really much Ruger anymore. Has an Ed Brown Threaded barrel/bushing, Custom manufactured fiber front sight , Kensight adjustable rear sight, Wilson combat oversized safety, Smith and Alexander mainspring housing/magwell, Hogue grips, I run chip mccormick shooting star mags with baseplates. The trigger has the factory parts but has been worked over by Dewey Vicknair, Vicknair Restorations | Home 20170722_115837.jpg 20170722_115843.jpg 20170722_115848.jpg 20170722_115852.jpg 20170722_115905.jpg

its a polymer, my understanding is its mixed with water into a slurry and dries by evaporation, they apply 3 times to build their coating up, then they size them after they're coated.
