I've been told I should leave a sarcasm tag after some of my comments every now and then. Something about having an unusually dry sense of humor. Some people have no sense of humor or rough lives or something. /sarc This place has some decent emoticons if you remember to use them. I don't always.
Well, I rolled it. Those two cracks appear to follow the limb on the right of this pic. The full width is too much for what I have so I'm thinking my best coarse of action is to cut @the cracks. Thoughts? And of course I already mounted up the saw. Insert bang head emoji... Edit: any idea why I have a line through my text? I posted from my phone and typed this from my laptop... same???
like this ? if you typed [ ] with an 's' between the brackets where the strike thru starts it is looking for a strike thru end tag if you go back and edit your post adding [/s] somewhere after the strike thru begins it might un-strike thru. ( everyplace after where you put the [/s] ) Pretty sure the forum software makes the tags invisible after you hit reply ( yes they are gone when you go back to edit ) You need a start tag and an end tag or the start tag never ends

Got the first cut finished and about 1/2 of a second and we called it quits. Severely dislike that it's dark by 5pm now! Man mdavlee that chain flew down through this maple!! I scrapped the bungee idea and had Andy apply oil during the cut. Will have to wait for sunday to finish.
Finished it up this evening. I'll get better pics when I sticker it up. Not nearly as much figure as I'd hoped for. And if I had it to do over, I wouldn't have rolled it 1/4 turn from the way it sat.
Dang those are really pretty pieces. I know I'm stalking but this was a big debate and nobody replied the aftermath. I just realized these were done only a few months ago... What happens to these now? I now have to admit you're giving me ideas on slabwork but i havent got the right equipment yet. Gotta make some of that.
Well, I do not have a solar kiln yet... so these will sit stickered to air dry for a few years. Recommended a year per inch of thickness I believe. And some of my others
