    Hello

Lately I have seen failures of those mini 120 Deg F OEM ceramic discs used as proof or fire (Flashing Heat Level 3) light also used to turn on the convection fan or room blower in the Enviro Maxx and Enviro M55.
Now Breckwell stoves also use the mini 120 ceramic snaps and I have changed quite a few there too. The Breckwell exhaust housing can be changed to a housing with a larger hole quite easily.

Now those good old Travis pellet stoves use reliable 120 Deg F full size 3/4 inch ceramic low limit snap discs that last a very long time. Even Napoleon and Whitfield use 3/4 inch 140 Deg F ceramic snap discs. With tolarances of +or- 20 Degs the spec of 140 is really not much different here.

Interesting enough the Enviro Maxx has a hole large enough in the exhaust blower housing to accommodate the large disc. Is Enviro short changing us here?

The M55 has a smaller hole in the exhaust housing but by using a step drill bit, this hole can be easily expanded to accommodate either the larger 3/4 inch snap disc or the small mini snap disc.

In both stoves, the stove started with a nice fire and and then the auger stopped, the fire died out and heat level 3 started blinking.

The current mini ceramic OEM replacement part is approx $63.00 OnLine part # P/N: EC-001 (Replaces Regency P/N: GF55-009)
The large and better ceramic snap can be found quite a bit cheaper!
Now keep in mind that these snap discs are ALL made by 1 or 2 snap disc manufacturers so nothing proprietary here folks really.

So which would you choose for your stove?

Pic 3-4 3/4 inch full size ceramic snap that comes in 120 Deg F or 140 Deg F. That is Beefy!

I would toss the little failure prone unit in the trash bin and auger out the hole and install the 3/4 "more durable ones" in a heart beat

    Hey Smoke
Got your Saranac ready for the another season???
That is one of the very few newer stoves with a heavy duty 3/4" diameter auger shaft like the old Whitfields have!!!
Fixing up the convection blower like you did makes that stove a real Humdinger! ! !

Yea Local Pellet prices could be better.
    Lowe's has
Easy Blaze $274.50 or $5.49 per bag
Power pellets $274.50 or $5.49 per bag
Green Team $349.50 or 6.99 per bag
    $65 for delivery
    See pics
Heck since East Coast Lumber has free delivery right now the Okie Golds for $275.00 a ton are a good buy and the NEWP for $255.00 a ton are are real bargain!

    Hi Mike
Yes one less thing to go bad!!!

P.S, I just saw your new Smart Stove and it looks impressive for the price tag of $1449.95

So my question is the 25-IP and where is that headed?
