The rockers on my truck were a mess so I had them replaced. The cab corners were also just starting to show issues so had those done too. I had them done right which wasn't cheap but I'm pretty excited how it turned out. One of my buddies is a body guy but was tied up so he referred me to one of his buddies. He also cleaned up any surface rust on the bottom of the fenders, doors and bed. They had it stripped down pretty good, bed off, fenders and doors off etc... Couple before During Finished, no close ups of the finished work yet. Drove it home in the snow so it's a mess.
SSWWWEEEETTTTT..............................nice looking truck. I guess you guys don't "oil" your trucks in that part of the country. Do it here religiously and you would be amazed how it saves em'...........................
Some people do, this truck had issues when I got it so no point in oiling it. I plan to lube the doors and rockers going forward. The aftermarket rockers are a lot thicker than the factory ones so the should outlast the truck.
That's the plan with the price of new diesel trucks being what it is. It has a touch under 100k on it and it's not my daily so it should last a while longer.
