Attention! FHC is proud to present our newest tandem of forums, the Military Outpost. The Outpost consists of two different forums, The Veterans Information Center and As You Were. The information Center is the brain-child of our own WeldrDave and is intended to provide assistance for veterans and military personal to navigate the tangled web and multiple hoops necessary to receive care and benefits from our Uncle Sam. Not that this is a U.S. only forum, but that just happens to be Dave's expertise-- The Department of Dave, if you will. Dave has provided many resources and can be contacted for help as well. We are also hoping that some of our other Veterans will extend their hands to help answer the questions of those seeking support. The As You Were forum is a place for chit-chat with soldiers and civilians alike, to exchange war stores, reminisce about your service days, complain about the food or whatever you like. One more thing, WeldrDave has been added as a moderator for these two new forums and will have the full authority to go with it. He will be able to edit and remove any posts that provide incorrect information, are off-topic, or just plain inappropriate-- so please respect our new staff member as you would any of the other FHC staff. This whole thing is Dave's baby and for that he deserves our admiration. That is all.

WeldrDave good of you to take on the task. I think it will be a big help to anyone here that needs it. Might get some new members too, people searching for help might stumble along and decide to stay. Grizzly Adam good on you to get it going.
Hats off to WeldrDave and Grizzly Adam for getting this thing going. Our military gets my full admiration and respect and we have MANY FHC members that serve or have served......I see this as a great thing to give something back to them... Great idea, Dave! And if anyone else has anything they'd like to add to the new forums, please do! Just so your best to keep politics out of there.....I know it's hard but please try!

Here's my VA rant, I was on jump pay/status for four years in the Army. Other then a heat stroke issue I have zero medical records. I've tried three times with the VA for disibilty and they won't consider anything. I filled a congressional inquiry in Texas this year and the VA won't cover anything. All my injuries were handled by our medics that's where it ended. Buddy statements didn't help either. I'm greatful I have all my limbs but I guess I'm SOL.
Go to a D.A.V. and get a rep from there, those guys rock! If you join the organization you get representation for free, They seem to have "snakes in the hole" if you will and know how to bite back!
Great idea guys !!! Being former military, I appreciate the attention FHC is giving our present and former military vets.
