Cleaned the pool this morning, cut the grass and subsequently dove in to cool off, steamy 88F by 10am Decided to can some "rotel" diced jalapenos and tomatoes. Some of the maters I picked just because of the splits - they are ripening for more sandwiches
New lids. Funny you ask because I called my Nana 8-9years ago when I made my first batch of blackberry jam down here, she chuckled on the phone and told me she used wax because they didn't sell replacement lids back then. We'd make Strawberry jam every summer, she'd occasionally make pickles but always bread and butter(yuk to me anyways) Dills only for me, processed 10qts last week She passed in late January and I thought of her as I was prepping everything today. She'd tell me stories of her Aunt that lived "down south" and how she learned all the cooking and canning techniques when they visited.
But I'm a young(well approaching middle age, kind of scary) guy passing on knowledge - you want wisdom?
That just makes you an old fart that may or may not smell bad - new wisdom is fresh for a bit anyways
Interesting. Helped a little person doing their business, used this. Nose & throat stuffed up instantly. Bummer, this is one of few scents I like.
Probably wasn't because of the air freshner..........................That's what happens when "Little People" eat beans......................
From this To this Cleared a weedy planter area and planted a spirea that I bought on sale. Just needs some mulch now.
Looks very nice. that is the thing about weeding or digging over an old bed. The results are very visible.
Thanks. You can see across the fence into the back yard that I've got plenty more to do. The previous owners let the yard get completely out of hand. I've been to the tree dump with four truckloads of branches I trimmed with more to come!
