My daughter caught her first Fish Ohio Walleye, 30" and 10.2 pounds she was excited but it was still flopping around for the picture and she couldn't control it so I held. She stayed out on the boat with me the whole day and reeled it in herself.
My wife actually landed her fist fish Ohio walleye also but it was only 29 inches and a lot thinner. We limited out two days in a row and all fish were over 26". Here are a couple of shots with two of my Fish Ohio's and my wife's fish Ohio Walleye. It was a great day on the water!
You should be proud. Keep doing what your doing. Your daughter will become a fine young lady because she has a involved dad. Nice Fish!!!
Good job guys! This is exactly what memories are made of. Time well spent It that Kelleys Island in the pic?
Here is the cooler from the second day we were sitting in the lid to keep it shut. This was honestly the most awesome Walleye fishing I have ever had and I frequent lake Erie quite a bit. It ended up being an epic two days.
Definitely was Kelley's Island in the top 2 pictures. It was awesome to not have to run 20 miles out to get on the big ones like we have to do in the summer months.
Walleye is my favorite eating fish. Can't think of anything that tastes better. Please offer my congratulations to your daughter!
I agree that Walleye is my favorite fish. I like it fried with Drakes seasoning and brushed with a bit of butter and grilled with fresh squeezed lemon.
One of the "Best tasting" fresh water fish . Especially when ate fresh ! Some nice fillets there Lake Erie ? gps coordinates ? ?
No gps coordinates needed on Lake Erie...just look for the Amish guys fishing and stop near them! Congrats by the way, Awesome catches!
Great fishing for sure! Those are huge walleye, really a once in a lifetime event for most to get one of that size. I would have celebrated on Kelly's Island at the Village Pump wth a perch dinner and a Brandy Alexander or two.
I'm thinkin' those musta' swum over from Michigan. Great pics, and congrats to your daughter Cert. Local place in Lewiston does a Friday fry featuring Walleye. Mmmmmm! Went to Point Mouillee when I was a kid, and caught my first fish there on a stick with a short line and a hook/worm combo. I know...high tech, right? Oh, it was a Carp.
