Glad it missed us. The last time I plowed snow I set the odometer and found I went over 3 miles!

I don't know with the wind blowing like that I don't see how they can do anything more than take an average

Yep, looks to be about a 3 ft drift in the corner...

So far no signs of water coming in, but with a foot of wet stuff predicted monday I do want to clear those drifts before the ice dam gets worse :( Just one of the quirks of old house living.

So I never heard a total for us, but Framingham (5mi) got 30 inches. I believe it. Driving around yesterday most of the main roads where down to black top. local roads mixed. They only cleared the sidewalks on one side of our main street, and the snow is up to your shoulders in the sidewalk cut. Its unreal.

School was closed 2 days for us. In Boston I believe it still is. My trash pickup got cancelled altogether this week, mail was cancelled Tue. I got back into the office this morning, my 14 mile trip on back roads was not bad at all - traffic is moving well. Cold though. -6F when I left the house!

This wasn't this storm. We only got maybe a couple inches in the last few days .
These are some pics of a lake effect event we got 4 years ago. I think it was 60-70 inches in 4 days. Winds were average for here but the flakes were massive and just kept coming. There was a NW fetch off Huron and Erie that pounded us. School was only closed one day IIRC. Everything else was gogo .

    Wow! :bug:

Lots of snow you had there Stinny! Looks like you had the right equipment to deal with it. I think it would have been hard to clear that with just the JD and no jeep.... Good job! :)

You're right Fanatical1 ... each pc of gear has it's reason for being, and they act as backups if one is down. Holy chit JustWood ... I feel better about 2 feet here, that's for sure. Wow... can't imagine dealing with 6 feet in one storm...o_O
Had fun this morning on the back deck with the lil 5 hoss blower, that's where it lives...

Your pictures reminds me of the question. What grows with its roots up and grows only in the winter months? Or something like that.

I'd suggest in addition to clearing some snow off the roof, also clearing some of those icecicles. Then, of course comes the work of clearing some around the house so it doesn't start leaking in. No, I was not disappointed that it missed us.

Thank you. It was an old sign that I took down, sanded, re-lettered/renamed and painted. Total cost was $120. Price I was being quoted from sign companies was $600 to $800 and that was painted letters, not the block raised letters I used. Been up for 2 years now, still looks new.
