pretty far so it wasn't reliable, but I gave my router code to my neighbor at my old home so he could get free internet. How far are your neighbors? No harm in asking :emb:

You can get pretty easy to setup devices that have more power to shoot it across from point A to point B and still secured. My Grandpa has a couple of these (http://www.amazon.com/Ubiquiti-BULL...i+BULLET&pebp=1422295071896&peasin=B002SYS22E) outfitted to his network to get a camera out in his barn on his network so he can watch his horses. Not all wireless is the same. This is just like a bridge to get it long distances, and works with line of sight. Just saying.

So what is required to make it work? It looks like more is needed than just the bullet. Such as an antenna and I am assuming a special type of router?

I hate using extra wireless tech-- pita. I hardline everything unless there is a reason not to.

Yea some sort of antenna and I some PoE device, but any router would work. I'll have to take a look at Grandpa's better to see what he all did, next time I'm down to visit. It sounded like his was pretty simple to set up and align.

Networking will make anyone's head hurt. 100 different ways to do things. Some times the easiest isn't always the best.

I could use a lesson on long distance WiFi antennas. Both to my shop (150ft) and my neighbor (1500~2000ft) doable?
