Guys....first I want to say is everyone does an OUTSTANDING job with this site and I'm completely thankful for it!

I'm actually wondering if the "Pellet Fuels" section can be moved into the "Pellet Pig Room". Jay said we should start posting our "reviews" and such in Fuels forum but it seems to me that the forum is too buried in the site and won't see much traffic because of it. I know you guys want to keep the site neat but it sort of maybe defeats the purpose of it being so buried. Maybe even just adding a sticky section in the Pig Room would be good. Anyway, I'm just throwing it out there.

    Thanks,
    Steve

And we do have a forum just for reviews here: http://firewoodhoardersclub.com/forums/forums/ratings-reviews.48/
Which we highly encourage using-- its something that we are hoping googlea d new potential members will pick up on.

Sounds like pellet fuels is redunant. jtakeman you guys want to take a vote on it in the pellet room-- this is something that doesnt affect me, needs to be decided by the people using that area.

I also think we should look into creating a "pellet prices" tab. Don't know what kind of a job it is to create one broken down by area of the country (or state?), but it was nice to have at that "other place".

The reviews don't get much attention in my opinion (and many others). It is hidden and a lot of people stick to their individual forum to talk to individuals like themselves. Lost of people only stick to one or two different forums. Staff has to mingle..

The pellet people are a tight knit group. When they talk about something? They want input from the people who check in every day. I have looked at the review section about 3 times. . For an average member? Who doesn't navigate and search the forum? They will Never see them.

Yeah, by all means we don't want just chit chat in the review section. But I would like to encourage people to use that to submit official reviews so it can grow to be a valuable resource. I don't see any reason why general chit chat and such re: pellet fuels can't be done within the pellet forums. Like I said, the reviews are mainly aimed at three things: outsiders looking in, new members seeking info regarding a product, and google search bots.

I'd also like to keep the chit chat down in the reviews(gets too cluttered). I liked what slvrblkk has been doing. Posting a thread in the pellet bag chat room with a link to the review.

I am trying to figure out a way to do a price list that is entirely different than any other site is doing it. If it is possible, I think you will love it.

Every comment said to move it to another tab or linked to the Pellet pig room. Not one said to leave it? Although there was votes, no one voiced why?

I still say it needs moved. It gets zero attention and a very small percentage of the actual members even know what and where it is. It's hidden in the shadows.

My 2 cents.. (I know that no one likes my pennies ;) But there they are)

Awe come now Dex, I like your pennies. I'm a couple richer now!! ;)

I will post a link in the pellet bag and sticky it. I should be able to handle and also do it for stove reviews if the need arrises!!

Anyway to make it stay on the top of the page?

Sticky is the only way that I know of?

On a brighter note, my BIL just scored some Clean Energys! He bought me several bags to test as I have never burned Hamers.

Yes, I believe it is working great and thank you for adding that. I hope we are getting additional traffic that comes from outside of this site and not just current members. Time will tell but the more the merrier!
