ah gotcha....I don't know the Blaze kings well just thinking baffles. Hopefully with the 24/7 winter burns you'll be gold.
Update. Stove is MUCH more well behaved on reloads. Wood consumption is down somewhat....not sure how much. Last week's cold snap used quite a bit. Burn times seem to be improved by 25% Gonna check the chimney tomorrow to make sure we're still good there.
You should be getting a bit more heat out of her, comparative to the wood consumption. Sounds like things have improved?…
Chimney was much cleaner than usual inside the house. The outside part had some build-up but I'll attribute that to cold starts this fall. I ran the brush through everything.. Will follow up again when I have a better handle on total consumption.
I'm officially thru my first cord of wood. On pace for less than 5 for the year. Last year I burned close to 7 or 8....but it was considerably colder. If this trend holds I might have a whole extra year's worth of wood in the stacks.
Figured an update is in order since I'm about halfway thru the year. Stove is much more well behaved. Only used about 2.5 cord of oak compared to about 3 cord of Hedge and black locust. Best $20 and 10 minutes I've spent in a long time. Flue and inside of firebox are much cleaner too.
Yup. I have a friend doing CAD drawings now, should be ready anytime. I'll have to explain stuff though, the information won't be complete.
Gonna be another week. I'm heading out of state until late next week, he'll probably have them done by then. They won't be cut-n-dried instructions, more like a guide that you'd have to modify based on your stove. It worked well for me, stove really responded to the mods. Not hard to do either. I'll keep you all posted.
