40 degrees this morning. I lit a fire last night so the heat wouldn't kick on.

36 on the back porch this morning. Gasifying all White Ash splits in the Wood Gun. Time to get to work before it rains. Maybe we will get lucky and it will miss us today.

Hey lknchoppers. Welcome to the club man. I have a brother who lives very close to Charlotte, South side. Charlotte area seems like a cool place to live down there. I've been there many times. So. Is your screen name related to motorcycles? I'm assuming. Although Benny Hill use to say, You should never assume. :emb:

Geez Nate, that sounds cold to me! It's near 40°f here this morning, I'm burning some alder. It's a good shoulder season wood for me, a little fire in the morning and one in the evening and I can keep the house in the mid 70s.

Filled the smoke dragon with ash and pine ready for test burn. New piping and 3-way valves have 50 psi pressure test for the night. Tying in a new gasser I picked up in a divorce sale in the crate for four grand. I piped them in parallel because the gasser might be a little small so I'm thinking I could run both when its below zero. I'm going to use the smoke dragon for storage so if I need it it will already will be hot.
