Me and the family went out for a Birthday dinner for my son today.. But on the way, I had to stop at Home Depot and TSC.. I got 2 bags of PTL's from HD and I found a new Pellet at one of my TSC's.. They are called Supreme Comfort Fuel Pellets.. So I grabbed 2 bags of them as well.

Any info or insight from anyone that has burned them is appreciated. :)

I still have a couple other stores I want to check, but I am gonna be ordering 5 ton here shortly and want to test as many samples as possible before making the purchase (price is only about $15 different/no matter the store / $234-$250).

    Bar code pic below..

Can't help you with the Supreme Comforts, but I can verify that there are AWF ultra premium white pine pellets at Menards in Sandusky. Picked up 12 bags last night. Paid 6.49/bag. The per ton price was $314 I think.

I know I burned the Starlite's around 2012 ish. Went looking to see what I had for them. Just can't seem to find what I did with the results. I also know I had them posted on the WP review site. But that was taken down.

Pretty sure I did like them and was surprised on how good they were. Heat was really decent and pretty clean for a hardwood. So I do recommend trying them if cost is in the ballpark of the other brands in the pic. I'd rank them above the PTL's but still would give the edge to the sets as the first choice of the 3 show!

I Gotta dig out an old puter and see if it's on there later today. I'll post something when/if I find it.

Thanks Jay!! They are a small pellet (I like small), so they should have a good consistent feed rate.

I will be testing a bag out pretty soon. I need to get these pellets ordered and delivered. I am tired of waiting.. If I procrastinate any longer? It will be Thanksgiving. :(

OK, I understand someone who's having $$ issues and can't buy yet. But for anyone else, as I stated last winter when people were running out of pellets and couldn't find any, anyone who waits and doesn't get what they need to get through a winter like the last one, is just plain nuts.
    My 2 cents.

I'm getting them.. Just want to try and get the best pellet for the money. Menards is out of Somersets by me. So the prices are all about the same.

Because HD will deliver the 5 or 6 tons at once, I think I am gonna go with PTL's this year.

I finally found the old info on the Starlite pellets. Take them with a grain of salt as they are over 4 seasons old and things change. Specially since they had some supper long pellets in the mix. Otherwise I liked them. Decent heat and pretty clean(under 0.5% ash content).Did find on small clinker too.

That's a good price...I paid 225/ton at Strongsville Lowes. But I only had to drive 10 miles to get them.

Never had a bridging problem in mine. I hear them being chewed up all the time.

I'd like to try some PTL's and Somersets to compare to what we have for box store choices up here. OMV made Somersets sound like they were better than sex, and for $194 or $225 or whatever, that sure beats the MWP and FSU's that I'm getting up here at $239.
