I used a pallet like that mounted on the wall for a place to keep shovels and rakes ect more organized. Worked really well.
Nice job Pete! That will be something you use your entire life.... It is amazing how wood glue makes a strong bond under pressure from being nailed or clamped. So what did you put in your drawers?
http://www.welke.nl/photo/avanderzee/leuk-als-afscheiding.1399147282 It needs translating but I think what it is suppose to be is fairly apparent. Another project for you.
saw this on a recent trip...who knew pallets were high fashion, you can't see it in the pic but one of the pieces of pallet even has a boot print on it
Really like the storage bins. They sure do help when you want to find stuff or want to keep stuff off the bench. Now if I only had the courage to thin the stuff out and toss away odds and ends that keep accumulating.
Many won't believe me but OSB is stronger than plywood. In one of my college classes we destroyed samples of each OSB has a stronger shear force and breaking strength. It deflects more but can hold more weight. Was one of those classes for the pointless minor in wood products or whatever. That was like an engineering class to give you some knowledge for if you went to work in a QC lab in a mill.
Ive owned This End Up Furniture since 1997 and several moves later it still looks brand new. I have teenage kids and their friends hang out here and its survived. Its held up much better than the expensive leather crap i bought from Restoration Hardware.
