Found these for 5.69/bag at HD last night next to the FSU. Unfortunately my phone was dead so no pics, maybe tomorrow.

    60 Hardwood 40 Softwood blend

    Juniper, NB Canada

    UPC 0 98945 07308 1

Found this site but not much info: Juniper Farms

The bag also had an Irving symbol which made me think of Irving Fuels but looking online it appears to be a licensing company.

Hmm, gotta go to the depot at some point soon. Last I was there they had FSU's out, but nothing else. If they have added these I might grab a couple bags just for fun. However, my local HD's and G's local HD's carry different products at times, so mine may not have any.

I am apprehensive but I had that exact though when I was reading the bag. Like Lowes, the pricing for bulk isnt in line though when we can get proven winners for similar if not less $$. These would have to be super good and the reality is that I wont be even test burning for some time now and by then, well we all know Big Box stocking practices.

I was in HD to get a new gasket for my upstairs tub drain and just decided to walk through the garden area to see if FSU were available. These were right next to the FSU-I have no idea how many pallets they have and I am sure that the kid that looked like he was still in high school and was the only employee around would have all my information on these :p

i burned a few bags FSU's about 4 yrs ago.. think I remember them as kinda top shelf? [had no room at the time to buy any quanity.]
not sure cause I was burning a skid of stove chows at the same time and was wishing they would disappear each time I went down to the cellar cause of all the ash..:picard:

FSU's are pretty much middle-of-the-road pellets. But for the price, a good value. Somewhat ashy but good heat and pretty uniform in size. Not nearly as ashy as a lot of stuff I've burned; I'll burn it in my smaller stove (even when I had the Hastings which had a small ash pan), where ashy stuff I'll only burn in the P61a.

imagine... Doug firs same price as stove chows..
and many bought the chows cause they never heard of blazers or D fir pellets.
