Nice job there, I loves me some beech. It's got a unique sound to it I think, sort of metallic when you knock it with the blunt end of an axe or against another piece. I may be crazy, but I hear it. Please nobody call the whitecoats.

Every hour counts! :saw::saw: Way to make the best of it Woodsnwoods . Always love the picks of your JD. I'd like to fab up a smaller version of your skidder for my 1025R. That thing is sweet.

Got a bunch of rain, but back it this morning. I have to skid these up hill to a road first. Front wheels generally not touching. Ms461 on stump with 20 inch bar for scale IMG_5409.JPG IMG_5408.JPG IMG_5415.JPG IMG_5413.JPG IMG_5417.JPG IMG_5421.JPG IMG_5422.JPG IMG_5423.JPG

Nice work Woodsnwoods , is all the beech you've been cutting all yours? That will throw off some nice heat once seasoned.

Wow Woodsnwoods you surely get lots of rain in your area. Snow in winter too. And, of course, some very nice logs.

Log pile is growing. Beech is all for my home and some for my father. Logs are 24-30 inches, at least the big ones. All of it is from my property and neighbors . He has several more!!!!:dex: IMG_5426.JPG IMG_5424.JPG

In between everything else, ran up the hill or more time. Tractor grunted a lot, got hung up in a mud hole, but biggest logs are out. Probably ten more pulls of the 12 inch minus stuff . IMG_5427.JPG IMG_5428.JPG IMG_5429.JPG

It would drive me nuts to work in all that mud. I'd be worried about needing to sharpen my saw chains non-stop.
