Im in the market for a cast iron griddle or something of that nature for doing breakfast for a few people (eggs,bacon, sausage, hash browns) over the fire pit. Any good suggestions or can someone point me to a previous thread?
lots of good stuff out there, watch the yard sale sites on facebook and Craigslist, and there's always ebay... I've bought a lot of antique iron pans and such over the years.

cast iron fry pan myths Even reading the last 10 pages of the thread has a lot of great info on different brands. Some of the very good brands were not always marked on the bottom and they get passed over often.
Thats for sure. We've had one for 25 years and I thought it was some no name/El Cheapo. After I bought a Cast Iron ID book I was pleasantly surprised to find it in there. Lots of great info in the Fry Pan Myth thread!
Cast iron griddle for breakfast? Your dentist must love you. I prefer eating the stuff you cook in the pan.
Well I ran into a pile of what I think was nice iron cookware today. Waffle irons, griddles, skillets, Dutch ovens even a big daddy skillet probly 30". Anyway I grabbed this it was marked as Lodge but what do I know
