Yeah, private airport now and no air shows since it closed. They had some great shows there.

Thats awesome! About 5-6 years ago (last air show near here) we went out to Great Bay on Saturday and watched from an area that is where the Thunderbirds would regroup and set up for the next maneuver. That was fun to watch from the beach area. Next day we were on the tarmac at Pease for the up close show.

Really sux that there are no active bases around here any more. Once they close, there go the air shows and IF they have shows, they are privately run which means expensive and not as good. Active base shows are free to get in and have more of the military jets.

Looking good Larry. I just got home from an outdoor wedding. Great time, good friends and great food. And a toddy or 5 too.

The parts may be expensive, but I was looking at the hourly rate for labor thinking that was wicked cheap.

I thought so too. I've seen some shops over $85/hr.

If I remember, it said $54/hr for labor? That is very cheap.....but also the reason a lot of body shops can't make a go of it. Take a look at a local car dealership's hourly labor charge......most in this area are upward or over $100/hr.

Tomato plants are looking good-both larger and cherry. Plenty of tomatoes but none are ripe yet, soon I hope

Great day for an air show-I may have made the wrong call on this one since as of 11am there are still under 16K people there today. Last years air show a few miles away from this airfield drew 400K over 2 days and traffic reports were a nightmare. That may have scared away many this year, who knows.

You, me and most everyone else I have spoken with about their tomatoes. Just hope we don't get an early frost. Also, those cool damp mornings help bring on late blight which has wiped me out at least half the time. So far so good. keeping my fingers crossed. No bugs in the garden this year. I planted garlic everywhere with the plants. Seems bugs and critters don't like garlic.

It's like when you get a bill from the hospital/doctor.. and you see all of the different charges etc.
    charge.. insurance... adjustments... etc.
That $54 charge is what the insurance company pays the body shop.
If you go to have work done on your own... yes... it would be ~$100 an hour range....
