    Just listened to Journey- Lights.

Flashbacked to when I was about 10 or so. In bed, windows open, big rain/thunderstorm going on. Listening to KWAV(e), only good radio station I could get in the canyon. Mellow listening they called it.
Weird that I remember that, but I do. Song was a trigger, I might have to find a safe space. :whistle:Regardless, I still really like that song.

Anyone else hear a song from their past that makes you think of "things"?

Just went to a Journey concert here in Maine last month. They were great. Lately Beetle-Kill , I've been flooded with song after song that reminds me of my past. Remember Johnny B Goode... or Love The One You're With? I played both in bands years ago, and I now find myself playing them again. This is the band I'm drumming with now, recorded last Sunday... Dropbox - 5.mp3 ... I do the first 3, and a pro jazz drummer rips it up on the 4th, while singing too. He's amazing...

    All. The. Time.
Sometimes, it's the opposite. Someone will say something that triggers a song in my head, or a I'll be in a situation where it brings back a song and memory.
I won't start posting Youtube songs, or we'd be here for a LONG time. And, I'd get lost in Youtube......again.:D

Here is another one that takes me back.....I was a Skynyrd fan for sure. Saw them live at the old Cleveland Browns Stadium. Was a little bit of a wild child or stupid not sure which.

    Good stuff.
Was talking to one of my detailers today about Hall & Oates.
Then, FedEx stops at the shop and drops a big 6 figure draw check from one of our G.C.'s.

I still can't get the damm song out of my head- Legos Movie- " Everything is Awesome...". I may have to drink heavily.... :tears:

Gas, have you seen the "Legos' Movie"? It's animated and actually pretty cool, but that song....that song will drive you nuts.
And it's been stuck in my head since my counter girl (she prefers "Chick"), pulled that up on-line and played it today.
It's not a "take you back" thing, just related to something you get stuck in your head.
*Warning*- don't google that song! Almost as bad as -"What does a fox say?" Sorry for the off topic diversion.

My dad has quite the collection of vinyl. I was allowed to pick records when I was young while they had company over, usually for cards (and partying). I think the most regularly picked was this

    and this

Every song on these two albums are great, I couldn't pick one. They will forever remind me of my youth and take me back to those times.

In '91 I bought my first street bike (Kawi Ninja zx6). I made a mix tape and I put walkman speakers in my helmet. Every ride would start with this.

To this day, every time I hear it, I go right back to that time in my life. Usually when the electric guitar started, the revs would climb. :)

Several songs by Fleetwood Mac, especially those from their "Rumors" album. And Boston, "A man I'll never be."
